I just received my Raspberry PI and had a few problems configuring the static IP on the wireless connection. I use the Wi-Pi official WLAN USB module and I really need to use the Raspbery PI without any cables attached (except for the power suppy).

So I have a standard RS232 serial port that is looped back to itself by simply running a wire from Tx to Rx. I'm testing loopback by running echo and cat in two separate terminals: cat /dev/ttyS1 echo "hi" > /dev/ttyS1 My issue is with the output. I would expect to see one "hi" come back on the terminal running cat but instead I get this:

Dec 22, 2015 · I have checked the Arduino IDE and ArdSimUSB is listed under Sketch/Include Library -- Contributed Libraries, ArdSimUsb is listed. I've restarted XP and there is no connection. When I connect the USB cable to the Uno, the On led lights and led 13 flashes. I've checked Device Manager and under Ports, the Arduino is listed as Com3. Do a loopback test with PuTTY to make sure that your USB/Serial adapter is working. Try various baud rates up to 230400. Make sure that the boot jumpers are set correctly. For serial upload, set BOOT0=1 and BOOT1=0. Your code should run automatically once the upload completes. You will need to press reset before each upload attempt.
This is a basic breakout board for the FTDI FT232RL USB to serial IC. The pinout of this board matches the FTDI cable to work with official Arduino and cloned 5V Arduino boards. It can also be used for general serial applications. The major difference with this board is that it brings out the DTR pin as opposed to the RTS pin of the FTDI cable.
